It would be lovely if there was a way to define a list of tags (HTML and/or LJ-specific) which you could just click to insert, or set up as keystroke macros, or ... something. Then you could just add the <lj user=""> tags for all the people you're likely to talk about.
There probably is such a thing already in one of the clients, actually, but I haven't looked at them. Ho hum. Maybe when I have some more tuits.
