Er, I didn't find not-swallowing-it that much of a problem, on account of it being stuck firmly to my teeth (that being sort of the point). I think I swallowed a tiny bit of the goo that came off at the side, but I suspect it's a bit like swallowing chewing-gum, i.e., harmless.
