rezendi and I were arguing the other evening over a suitable Latin description for Godwin's Law, he said argumentum ad Naziam but I think that's too cutesy. Argumentum ad Alaricum is a bit indirect, though, given that it relies on knowing that Alaricum unum testiculum habet is a genuine Roman graffito and linking it up with the bit of doggerel about Hitler that goes to "Colonel Bogey".
