That's 26 weeks' full pay, 13 weeks' statutory maternity pay, and 13 weeks' unpaid leave. Though I am actually hoping to be able to give the last month of that unpaid leave to addedentry (we're just eligible for the new system whereby you can share leave between both partners -- ie it comes into effect for babies due on or after April 3rd, which is my actual due date) and take some/all of it as holiday myself (I can't believe I still accrue holiday while on maternity leave, but I am assured that it's so!). I know I'm jolly lucky to have this -- the University's maternity policy (http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/ps/staff/family/maternity/matsummary.shtml) is very generous.
