This is pretty much the rant I had a few days ago, after yet another attempt to follow online recipes. My current test for whether I'll be able to get to the end of it (without abandoning the kitchen in a strop) is whether I might find those units on the packaging. Supermarkets don't sell milk by the cup, or oil by the spoon, or anything solid by volume, so how am I even supposed to check I've got the right stuff in to begin with?
