PHB wins the day?

Anybody know what's happened to the Dilbert RSS feed?

The syndicate who publish Dilbert objected to it being screen-scraped and served up as a RSS feed by a 3rd party, so asked LJ to remove it. Even a later attempt to just post a daily link to the strip was pulled, again at their request. There are long threads about it over in the lj feed community (whose name I forget).

However, it is possible to sign up for a free daily Dilbert to your inbox - I funnel mine to a separate folder. It's still annoying, though ...

Ah. Figures. Thanks.

There's a new one though, as long as none of us mention out loud where it is... I have to say objecting to the link just seems petty though.

If you know where it is, could you email me the link? Ta.

'The section of United States copyright law which covers service providers such as LiveJournal, the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA), specifically outlines the steps which must be taken in response to a claim of copyright infringement. These steps include expeditious disabling of access to the content alleged to be infringing. Moreover, the service provider may not make judgements about the validity of such claims.'

Yeah, lj themselves are obviously constrained...
