You win some, you lose some

My pretty knives sold on eBay for just £0.99 in the end. Slightly annoying since I bought them for a tenner originally. Still, 99p is about all I expected to get for the trousers, which eventually went for £14.50... Swings and roundabouts, I guess. The velvet bodice went for £1.39, but since I only paid 99p for it I don't feel too bad about that.

And of course, to look at it another way, people are paying me to take junk that I don't want out of my house! So I still win really. :-)

Hey ho, that's eBay, Janet. Sometimes I've had great results (two guys fighting it out for a SCSI Zip drive that went for a ridiculous £69) other times I've had things go for peanuts.

Selling veshches for deng is dobby, droog; odd platties, bolshy nozhies, whatever.

Yeah, but those nozhies of hers were very bolshy, O my brother, and yet they hardly crasted enough deng to keep the poor devotchka in synthemesc or drencrom.

It is good that people are willing to pay for the crap we no longer want, so every penny is good in my book coz the charity shops or the bin aren't going to give me anything for stuff I don't want.
