The Sanity Inspector rides again

A search of our website returns 6 hits for "Principle Investigator". The horror! Will your principles stand up to the rigorous investigation of these terrifying, nameless, black-suited individuals? Or will we, on some grey and rainy Cambridge morning, see your head on a spike outside Senate House pour encourager les autres?

Sadly, truth is duller than fiction.

Oooh, I could do that job. I scrutinise other people's principles for fun, some days. Doing it for pay would be better. Could I have a trench-coat?

Could I have a trench-coat?

Not sure. Resources are tight. But then, the trench coat could be as well...

Excuse me a moment.

The Investigator should come to my school and interview my insurance-fraudster student!

This resource calls itself 'The pages you are trying to access are restricted to members of Cambridge University. Since you are accessing these pages from outside the University, you have been redirecting to this login page.' and is provided by the website www.admin.cam.ac.uk.
What an odd name for a resource. Doesn't exactly trip off the tongue.

Oh, knickers, I didn't realise it was cam-only. Sorry! Anyway it just says what the responsibilities of a Principal Investigator are.

Does it really say "you have been redirecting to this login page"? If so, somebody needs taken out and shot!

It does indeed say that. But not too inappropriately in the context of this journal entry which is, after all, a comment on spelling.

There's a scary-looking raven on that page, who presumably sits on the shoulder of the principle inspector.

Maybe the raven is Muninn.

It certainly doesn't seem likely that a raven that scary would go round Huginn people. Ahem.

Beat me to it, you swine!

Mine was going to be "it's not Huginn me with a beak like that". Anyone else got any feeble Norse puns?

"I'm Thor!" he cried,
The horse replied,
"You forgot your thaddle, thilly."
