Dance like it hurts

So, anyway.

Lovely dinner last night with [livejournal.com profile] lnr, followed by Placebo gig. Placebo were excellent; there was much bouncing, and much giggling, and, um, well, hey, I didn't know all the songs anyway, so I maybe didn't concentrate on some of them as much as I could have done. ;-) Bought a t-shirt with silver angel-wings on the back. I know, I know, but I can't resist wings! Also bought a cute poster of the lovely lovely Mr Molko. No idea where I'll put it, had visions of passing it on to my hypothetical kids ("Wow, mum, did you really see Placebo the first time round?").

Also saw [livejournal.com profile] angua, [livejournal.com profile] simonb and [livejournal.com profile] ejde at the gig, and had a good chat during the absence-of-support-band.

After the gig [livejournal.com profile] lnr and I decided to go on to the Calling, just missing [livejournal.com profile] simont who was leaving as we arrived. This was a Very Silly Decision given how tired we both were, but it was good fun anyway; spent nearly all the time we were there dancing on a nearly-empty dancefloor. I don't normally dance to lots of stuff I don't know, but again I wasn't really concentrating much on the music. ;-)

Saw [livejournal.com profile] vyvyan and [livejournal.com profile] razornet there too, and probably loads of other people who I failed to recognise in the dark. Left around the time I realised that I was actually falling over from sheer tiredness.

...

Woke up this morning feeling like death warmed up, and called in sick. I know, I shouldn't, but honestly I would have collapsed halfway to work otherwise. Currently faffing on the computer (of course) and feeling like I should be doing something more useful with the day. <sigh>

Sounds fun :) The winged t-shirt reminnded me, not only do I still have to post you a thingy, but I have a picture I drew ages ago and have now scanned, which needs tidying up before I put it online. When Robert gets his graphics tablet working I shall clean it up and then wave it at you, because I think you will like it. Well, I hope so. Hmph, things to do.

Cool -- now intrigued, wondering what you've got for me... :)
