All dork and no play

This week's spamusement gets an obscurity rating of 8/10, "dorks only". Okay, so I'm a dork, because I instantly spotted the reference. But when I looked at the comments to see if everybody else had got it too, they were all talking about some modern game show, not, um, a computer game on the Apple ][ ...

Kids of today, eh.

... Morning!

It wasn't very obscure. I was just talking about Carmen the other day with a friend. Oh man, I spent too much time playing that game.

Aw, don't tell me it wasn't very obscure... I want to feel slightly smug for getting it!

OK, then. Let's feel smug together.

There was a game show?

Apparently so... (http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowMainServlet/showid-1712/Where_in_the_World_is_Carmen_Sandiego/)

There was also a cartoon. I seem to remember that there was a Megadrive game of it, too, in the 90s.

I'm pretty sure you can claim the full smugons in that the cartoon pretty clearly refers to the game rather than the derived (though surprisingly good) game show.

I remember Carmen Sandiego - it was in all the Mac mags etc. Never had a copy myself, though.
