Hey.. there, there. I'm - allegedly - not far off 10 stone. But I'm only 5'2 on tip-toes and owing to various factors, such as sheer lack of exercise, I had to buy a dress for the Brother Outlaw's upcoming wedding party which is in fact a size 16.

You're intelligent and personable and you can get through anything for a few days. If you were condemned to the hell of knowing that you would endlessly have to repeat the conference experience, OK, but this is just for a while.

At least you don't organise and run conferences for a living. :-D

You are not too stupid to get a good job. They are very hard to find. This is notto do with you in the least, it's to do with the paucity of interesting jobs, and none are flawless.

(I am minded of my chum the headhunter; yeah, good money, but OTOH she found herself stranded in Wichita, Kansas, with less than 24 hours to go to get to her dad's 60th birthday party - in Worcestershire - on the phone in the ticketing queue, talking to her husband explaining which knickers were in which drawer and which bras they went with, so he could pack for her, and all because the travel agent hadn't remembered to BOOK the return flight from Kansas to Chicago which would have allowed her to get back to London in time. She worked 65 - 70 hours a week for two years until in March she announced she couldn't go on, and "racked back" to 45 hours/week. So much for glamourous, well-paid jobs.)

You have a life with a lovely gentleman, and plenty of future ahead. S'OK. Listen to Badger, he does know everything.
