Coke habit

One of the things I thought I'd really miss in this office was being able to get coke whenever I wanted it. However, it looks like I don't have to give that up after all! Much happier now; and my lips, my fingers, and bits of my black corduroy skirt are covered in a fine white powder...

Yep, you guessed it, the tuck shop here does sherbet fountains. And I now know where the Coke machine is as well. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rmc28 for the guided tour & top tips!

black corduroy

You're the second person this week to have referenced this most godlike fabric in one of their posts, which does my heart a power of good I can tell you. I'm still the only person who lists it as one of my LiveJournal interests though, humph.

Would you think me fangirlish if I went and listed it too? :)

The black corduroy skirt is a short A-line skirt, which may be cool (well, I like it, even if it makes me look like a teeny indie kid) but corduroy skirts are simply not as good as corduroy trousers. There's nothing quite like the sound -- or sensation -- of corduroyed thighs rubbing softly together...

I was just sorta shovelling sherbet out of the cardboard doofus into my mouth with the liquorice straw. (Which is such a con; you can't suck through it, therefore it's not a straw.) It was going everywhere. I feel a bit sick now from all the sugar. :-/

"sussuration" was invented, I believe.

I always eat the liquorice and then just pour the sherbet into my mouth. the cardboard gets a bit soggy but you can tear rings of it off if too much sherbet sticks to it!

"sussuration"

No, no; that's the sound of silk-clad thighs rubbing softly together...

I used to eat the liquorice first out of about 3 or 4 fountains, tip all the sherbert into a bowl, and then eat it via sucking it off a Vimto or Kojak lolly. Very refreshing, and not a little bit sad.

I used to hate the soggy cardboard/paper because I'd have half of my sherbert welded to it, so on my more digusting days I'd rip off some of it, put in my mouth and suck all the sherbet off, and spit the paper into the bin. The things you go through for sherbet.

[livejournal.com profile] imc has a rather lovely black corduroy shirt (and a grey one) that makes interesting micro-noises when you get near it for a cuddle.

Alas, I can't bear to wear the stuff thanks to a 27-year aversion caused by a black corduroy pinafore dress that I was actually, genuinely, really, truly allergic to. We never did find out why, but it made me sneeze constantly. Ver ver strange.

Several of them, in fact. I think they are breeding. I am wearing one of them right now.

Really? I don't think I knew that.

Oh yes. It may be two black ones and one grey one. Or possibly even more.

The noises - you don't put your head anywhere near where I put mine (ooerr). They're micronoises because you do really have to have your ear right next to the fabric.

And I thought I was alone in my guilty office sherbet habit.

I switched to dip-dabs, though, because I don't like liquorice, and tipping the contents of sherbet fountains into my mouth was, er, rather messy. :)
