an animal? A Komodo Dragon, I think. I like basking, and lying around, and not moving very much most of the time, and using energy only when I have to in short frenetic bursts. And I find their hunting strategy philosophically appealing. [ Bite goat on leg; get nasty dental flora in wound; meanwhile, sit around waiting for a goat someone else has bitten to die of infected wound somewhere close enough you can be bothered enough to crawl to and eat it. Maneki Neko for lizards. ]
a vehicle? Whatsisname's wheelchair from Snow Crash.
a song? Depends a lot on mood. Yesterday, something about two-thirds the noisy bits of Carmina Burana and one third "Dominion".
Feeling happier today, and very city-positive.. I think Shriekback's "Bastard Sons of Enoch" would do it, it has the angel element in as well. [ Do you know it ? I can not resist the first two lines. ]
Or alternatively Ellis Paul's "Angel of Manhattan".
a fruit/vegetable? A cucumber. Cool, contained, and every now and again finding myself in really unusual situations.
a sitcom character? I always identified with Mork.
a city? Montreal, without a shadow of a doubt; failing that, some bits of Dublin.
a character from Shakespeare? Ariel.
I am Hamlet's LiveJournal. (I am Jack's delusions of grandeur.)
I have just remembered a dream I had the other night of a Counterblast to Prufrock which ended "Perhaps I am Prince Hamlet after all." Can't remember a single other thing about it, but I must find something to do with that line.
(Almost, at times, the fool.)
And if the fool would but persist in her folly ?
a kitchen utensil? A multi-purpose thingummy. Slices, dices, pulls corks from bottles, makes a passable chair and an excellent doorstop..
