Better answer: I think the only sensible way to define albums is to look at how the cd/lp/mc in question is listened to. If the listener treats it as a random collection of tracks to be heard individually, then it is not an album. If, on the other hand, the listener treats it as a whole, as something to be listened to sequentially, as though it were one work, then it is an album.

I listen to both the mixes and the one (sort of) greatest hits in my 74 nominations as though they were single works, ergo they are both albums to me. Immer in particular is 70-odd seamless minutes of music that I very, very rarely listen to apart from as one continous mix. That it's composed of 18 different tracks by 18 different artists has next to no effect on how I actually hear it.
