I take an awful lot of flak for this from an awful lot of people.
I used to - particularly in Oxford when I'd insist upon leaving parties when I wanted to go home, rather than when there was someone about to 'walk me home'. Nowadays people have more or less given up moaning at me; I'm not going to listen.
