I tend to discount that, cos it's the local paper, & they often get a little excessively aerated about such things.
I dunno, if the headline says "LOCAL MAN MURDERED" or words to that effect then whether the associated article is "aerated" about it or not, it's still a person murdered, & hence still Bad Stuff. But yeah, if I saw a headline like "CAMBRIDGE SEETHING HOTBED OF VIOLENT DRUG CRIME" I'd take it with a pinch of salt, obv.
