Nah, I'm also cat-sitting that week for sion_a and 1ngi; the cats will have been on their own for a day and a half by the time I get back from Edinburgh, and I don't want to dash off again for a large chunk of the weekend and shirk my responsibilities as a warm substrate for shedding fur on :-)
I'm usually good with long bus journeys (even the one with overnight bacon, and the one with the nappy), but that trip sounds horrible. I took the X5 to Milton Keynes once and it was actually jolly nice - even though I got off in a hurry and left my coat on the luggage rack, I called them and they wrapped it up nicely and put it on the next coach back to Cambridge for me!
