It's not just undergraduates either. We had someone who got out his mobile phone and started fiddling with it on stage at the Sheldonian. I think he left to pursue a solo career because he probably thinks he is better than us. But you have to laugh because the reviewer at the Oxford Mail attributed his solo performance of O sole mio to another singer entirely.
