Maybe in fact everybody gets exactly those dreams... I'd find it weirder if you'd dreamed the lion one as well (though actually I wonder if the lion came from A Lion in the Meadow (http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/m/margaret-mahy/lion-in-meadow.htm) in which case you could've got it as well ... are lions contagious?).
I was about to tell you my half-assed theory about what makes people dream things like this, & then I remembered you had a PhD that was at least partly in Psychology. :-D
