It's not *your* fault, though. We none of us can get through - I reckon it's all a bit broken and barely anyone is managing to get through. It's not your fault if you can't get him a ticket - it's not like you're not trying your best.

I think the website is *dead*, and the phone might be better.

There's nothing more you could be doing, so I don't see how you can be "letting him down"! Why couldn't he do it himself, anyway? Or both of you try?

I really do think the webshite is buggered. I can't even ping www.wayahead-secure.co.uk. Phone is 0870 830 2004, which I can now sing just like a tone-phone. Boop dee doop boop dee dum boop doo boop boop dum.

FFS, it's not about typing fast, it's about the fact that 300,000 other people are trying to get in at the same time! If he couldn't have managed to buy his own tickets anyway, then even if you can't get any he's no worse off than he would've been otherwise, is he.

And personally I think it's rotten of him to make you do it when he knows how stressed you get about things like this.

At least you're going to have some food eventually. I should've eaten beforehand, but I thought I'd get through sooner than this. sion_a has gone to the pub, I probably won't eat tonight. Or sleep, at this rate.

Bloody redial! You'd think they could just have a queue, wouldn't you. I mean, then we could just handsfree and get on with something else.

Social reasons for not having a queue:

1. It's "fairer" in some sense in that a queue guarantees success for the first people to phone, whereas no queue gives each call an equal chance (of course, doing what you've been doing gives you a better chance because you've been making a lot of calls).
2. If people were stuck on hold they'd run up enormous phone bills.

I think the solution would if they had some kind of call-waiting-like mechanism where if they're busy you get a ring tone, which has the social properties of engaged but means you only have to redial every 20minutes when your service provider times you out.

Oh, and your tuna baguette is in the fridge.

The aloud.com site was really slow before 8pm, and pretty much ground to a halt at 8.

I don't think it does. I've been getting it for the last half hour, and the aloud website isn't saying anything about sold-out-ness yet.
