I am in bed with the internet. 8-) My parents came to visit today bringing shiny birthday present, which is one of these. It is very very shiny. You may stroke it if you ask nicely. You may not install Linux on it, so don't even ask...

Thank you to everybody who came to my party yesterday, you are all lovely. I had a great evening & I hope you all did too. And of course the people who couldn't make it are lovely too, and it's a shame they couldn't be there.

I love the revolutionary "composite video out" connector, :).

Of course, there's also *BSD. Or the kernel-that-just-doesn't-die, GNU/hurd.

SCNR.

It's already got BSD. I see no need to change the operating system, and I'm not interested in changing it just "because I can".

"Because you can"
"Because you can"
"Because you can"

Repetition makes everything true, at least that what's consuming media is strongly suggesting.

And Martin is apparently looking for Dance Dance Revolution shoes for cycling in. I'd be impressed to see someone playing on their bike!

Installing that confounded penguin-infested kludge on a thoroughbred like your PowerBook G4 would be like putting diesel in a Lamborghini Countach.

Whoo! Now that's a birthday present. :-)

Glad you had such a great time at your party! Fingers crossed I should be able to make it next year. Perhaps with you and [livejournal.com profile] addedentry and the 05/05/05 local elections there will be sufficient excuse for the best party ever until the one you hold in 2006 which beats it. :-)

That is, indeed, a very very shiny present!

I'm glad you had a good birthday party.

Belated apologies for not making it on Saturday - sorry, I did mean to let you know in advance, but am royally crap :-( Pete's not been sleeping properly, & I'd only had about 6 days at home in 2 1/2 weeks or something, so we felt that staying at home & not-doing-things was the sensible option.

As it happens this was as well, since there was a certain amount of Trauma over the weekend, so...

Glad you had a good time!
