She was very quick to point out she's not an "old woman" and that my comment about old women was "ageist and sexist", so I'm guessing she's probably a bolshie little teenager. She certainly reminds me a lot of myself at 14, but we didn't have t'internet in those days, ee, I remember when it were all fields round 'ere. I just hope she's not picking fights with strangers on LJ when she should be revising for her A-Levels... ;->
Yeah, it's sad in a way, but let's face it -- the clique will go on posting (and allowing their sort of people to carry on posting), and the misfits will come and go, and if they accidentally make somebody think a little bit then that's all to the good, and if they don't, well, shrug. But nothing's going to change just because some silly girl has decided to pick a fight with me on LiveJournal (and yes, I'm being silly enough to play along with the slanging-match, because I'm bored and it takes my mind off the things that are really bothering me, which are more important than a schoolgirl tiff). And if that mailing list founders, another one will start up somewhere else. I can't get excited about it any more, I'm afraid.
