Let's Compute

I have a stack of prehistoric computing books which I have rescued from untimely incineration. Unfortunately, I'm not really sure if they are likely to be of any use/interest to anybody... if they're potentially desirable objects I'd quite like to make a couple of quid out of them on eeeeeeeBay, as sort of compensation for lugging the buggers home on my bike (they were heavy!), but if they're only going to make pennies I'd be happy to just release them into the wild. Any opinions?

It's about the only one I'd be tempted to keep :) but my parents (who knew the author) already have a copy.

I'm not sure if they're free yet. Depends if I think I can get any money for them! :)

Also I'm sort of trying to work out if they might've been saleable (since they were originally being thrown out on the grounds that they weren't, & I thought that was unfair). So, out of interest, would you have paid money for them if you'd seen them for sale e.g. in a charity shop?

Will bear in mind that they have a potential good home to go to, though...

I've heard of Horstmann, but that's because the current (3rd) edition of Computing Concepts with C++ Essentials was the basic (not BASIC) textbook for the C++ part of my MSc last year ...
