Your RSS-feed nozzle can now hoover up [livejournal.com profile] headpiping, should it be so inclined.

Apropos of which, somebody (I forget who) told me recently that this wasn't on the web. It is.

Should this mean anything to me?

You know, I have no idea. Should it? Should anything here mean anything to anybody?

I'm alerting people to the presence of a new RSS feed on LiveJournal; you could probably have inferred from this that the content is something I think worth reading, and/or that the blog is written by someone I know and like.

I'm also drawing attention to the presence of a piece of text which is available on the WWW, which somebody (I still forget who) had looked for and had failed to find. Since most of my friends are now on LJ, it's highly likely that the person who was looking for it is reading my journal. It's also possible that it may be of wider interest.

Sorry to have irritated you, I really wasn't trying to be irritating.

It was the RSS feed rather than the link I was wondering about. Perhaps I should have worded the question as "do you think I know the person who writes the blog that this RSS feed is hoovering up?", to which the answer could be something like "Yes, it's Foo Bar from cam.misc" or "No, I doubt you do since it's someone I know fom Oxford" or similar.

Sorry... I've been very irritable today, & I realised later (after biting somebody else's head off as well for equally little reason) that I was being unfair. But I decided if I tried to apologise at that point it would just come out grouchy as well & compound the wassname.

So, um, sorry again.

I was also kind of deliberately not posting names since the person in question doesn't give their name on the blog (apart from "insidecolinshead", but if you know lots of people called Colin this may not help). However, he's somebody I know from Oxford, but may well have popped up on cam.misc as he's now living in this neck of the woods (I dunno, I don't read cam.misc any more really). Does that help?

Hmm, OK, I don't think I know him in that case. Fairy nuff!

Really no need to apologise for being irritable - I saw your later comment about lack of caffeine which I'm sure isn't helping. Hope you feel better soon.

Ooh, thanks for pointing that out; it's always a pleasure to read Colin's view of things. Mainly becasue if I'm reading it I can keep up, which I seldom can when he's talking...

He's mellowed a lot, actually, in recent years. Or perhaps it's just that I'm less terrified by his intellect and he's less terrified by my emotions -- in other words, we've both grown up a bit -- so we can meet halfway more easily.
