Movie stranger
Nov. 24th, 2004 10:35 amA tickybox list of IMDB's Top 100 Movies, stolen from
truecatachresis. I've changed the colours in the resulting table so you can actually read it.
I've only seen sixteen of the top 100. A quick count suggests that there are a further 19 that I actively want to see (there are very few I wouldn't want to see given infinite time etc.) and that there are about 6 which I own (or have already videoed) but haven't got round to watching yet. I just seem to find it hard to block out 2+ hours of Not Doing Anything Else in which to watch a film; it's easier to find time to read, or to listen to music, because I can do them while doing other things.

Date: 2004-11-24 03:10 am (UTC)Ah, see, I knit whilst watching films, so that's OK.
I've actually seen a surprisingly large number of those. Obviously living with film-geek for 3 years has meant *something* in terms of my filmic education, after all :-)
I know this is undoubtedly Non-Helpful since you are lacking in time to watch films anyway, but I cannot recommend strongly enough that you watch Dr Strangelove, which is a work of genius. Some Like It Hot is also utterly ace, especially for Marilyn Monroe's splendid frock. And the final line, which never fails to make me laugh immoderately.
