A tickybox list of IMDB's Top 100 Movies, stolen from truecatachresis. I've changed the colours in the resulting table so you can actually read it.

I've only seen sixteen of the top 100. A quick count suggests that there are a further 19 that I actively want to see (there are very few I wouldn't want to see given infinite time etc.) and that there are about 6 which I own (or have already videoed) but haven't got round to watching yet. I just seem to find it hard to block out 2+ hours of Not Doing Anything Else in which to watch a film; it's easier to find time to read, or to listen to music, because I can do them while doing other things.

Thirty-four, for what it's worth. Many films in this chart strike me as classics - those that everyone wants to have seen but no one wants to watch. North By Northwest is one of the few I'd want to see again (well, anything with Cary Grant) and one of the few without epic pretensions.

I've managed the first half of Pulp Fiction and the second half of The Wizard of Oz, and I suppose they go quite well together, whether or not you're listening to Dark Side of the Moon at the same time.
