A tickybox list of IMDB's Top 100 Movies, stolen from truecatachresis. I've changed the colours in the resulting table so you can actually read it.

I've only seen sixteen of the top 100. A quick count suggests that there are a further 19 that I actively want to see (there are very few I wouldn't want to see given infinite time etc.) and that there are about 6 which I own (or have already videoed) but haven't got round to watching yet. I just seem to find it hard to block out 2+ hours of Not Doing Anything Else in which to watch a film; it's easier to find time to read, or to listen to music, because I can do them while doing other things.

Contagious, that meme. My answers are out of your way on the Hairy Ears LJ.

I've seen forty of them, for what it's worth, five of which I hated. What amazes me is that I actually went to see more than half of them. Generally films bore and irritate me, and I'd never never have guessed that I'd seen 40 of anybody's 'greatest films' list. I wonder what fraction of all the films I've ever seen that could be.
