The LJ corpus analysis thing is doing the rounds again... A quick count suggests that there are only 2 (maybe 3) actual nouns in my top 100 whatsits of most-used thingies.

Still, it could be worse; I suspect the top 100 words across the whole of LJ would start with "I, me, you, lol, omg" and go downhill from there.

It could definitely be worse: I get "comment" and "total" in my top ten. I don't think I'm generating enough content.

Heh - all three of "poll", "vote" and "art" appear in my own Top 100. I've been pigeonholed!

"armour" makes it into my top 50. I think I need to get out more. ;)

"night" and "people" definitely count as nouns. "something" and "someone" are nouns too, but you may not be counting them. "time", "work", "back" and "being" can be nouns but can also all be verbs (and in some cases other parts of speech), depending on context. There are quite a few pronouns in there, which might also count as a special case of noun.

Two of my most common words seem to be "bopeepsheep" and "smallclanger".

"Night" and "people" were the only two unambiguous nouns I could find. I missed "time", "back", and "being"; I've probably mostly used the latter two in non-noun contexts, but "time" I just missed. "Work" was my possible third noun (I'm more likely to have used it as a noun, I think).

"Something" and "someone" are indefinite pronouns, so I wasn't counting them, any more than any of the other pronouns.

I can't believe you had nothing better to do than go through that list looking for nouns.

"people" can be a verb (but admittedly isn't very often).

I'm embarrassed to post my list because it's full of adverbs. I'm all about the 'anyway', 'really', 'absolutely', 'extremely', 'very' and other such meaningless modifiers that my English teachers would have despised. Oh, and I overuse the words 'cool', 'stuff' and 'lovely' something horrible.

I like adverbs, no matter how much they are despised by the "show-don't-tell" pros of the world.

Pleased to see that "puzzles", "puzzle", "game", "championship" and "v" all make my happening hundred.

I get colnames.add as number 56. 'I' comes sixth, suggesting that neither of us is particularly egotistical.
