As many of you will know or have inferred by now, I have moved house, to live with
addedentry (who posted this information in a more timely fashion). The new administrative centre for badger relations in the South East is:
Once the house is unearthed from under the heaps of boxes (our fault) and the piles of strange fittings and diligently-inventoried tat (NOT our fault), we will be delighted to entertain visitors. At the moment, though, I'm still not entirely sure where my towel is. The house has too much furniture; earlier this week we bought two bookcases, and tonight I'm buying CD-racks. What's wrong with this picture?
My books and CDs are still in their old location. I'm hoping to move them soon, so that when I visit
sion_a he knows it's just because I enjoy his company.
61 Greville RoadThe house is currently 6 minutes' walk from the station, which will annoyingly become 10-15 minutes' walk when Carter Bridge closes for refurbishments. The long and the short of it, though, is that we're ideally situated for a London commuter, and also in a good position to visit other people.

Date: 2005-07-26 03:13 pm (UTC)The last train back to London is 23:21, getting in at 00:41, and the Junction is really near the station so you shouldn't have any trouble catching the train. I've never yet had a late train fail to turn up. It's a very slow journey, though, obviously, because it stops everywhere that might conceivably have enough houses in to be given a name.
Um, does that answer your question?

Date: 2005-07-26 05:03 pm (UTC)Back when I lived round there, we had no such thing as Carter Bridge, so a 10-min detour onto Argyle Street/Mill Lane is nothing. And it's an excuse to go to the Kingston, which is something I never had, given that in ye olden days the Kingston was a horrible fighting pub.

Date: 2005-07-27 11:15 am (UTC)I can't picture the Kingston as a fighting pub now. People throwing ciabattini at each other, or staggering out covered in exotic chutneys.
