Ah. Yes. Well.

A pointed reminder, that, no matter how busy you are, someone, somewhere in the world has enough spare time to rewrite apocalytic poetry in LOLCAT!

Did I miss the joke by reading this in a text browser? Is this some important statement about the evolution of language, or just another AllYourBase?

Er, it's T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land 'translated' into Lolcat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolcat)-speak. [See Anil Dash, Cats can has grammar (http://www.dashes.com/anil/2007/04/cats-can-has-gr.html) for more about the language of lolcats.]

I'm afraid that is the joke, and I suspect (being textual) it would work just as well in lynx as it does in Firefox. Sorry for wasting your time with another dumb internet meme, eh.

Oh, I seeeee. I'd have to have found out sooner or later.

Still not amused, of course. All my cats prefer their captions in perfectly-formed sentences.

The Wikipedia article links to a scan of a piece in Time (deep breath) which includes the word 'lolbrarians'. That was from July -- barely two months since you coined it. FTW!

This warrants at least an extended footnote in my ongoing opus, Mice in the Attic: an analysis of poetry between the wars. I hope to finish it before I turn entirely into a tweed suit, and then new data like that comes in, and I have to start over.

OMG WTF RAT ALLEY
