If someone told you they could offer you Support for learners, teachers and researchers using "Web 2.0" technologies and mobile devices to access institutional systems ... what sort of things would you be asking them for? Please assume that they have reasonable quantities of time and money at their disposal, but that they would really prefer not to use up too much of that time having an argument about what "web 2.0 technologies" means. :-}

Webmail, secure remote access to electronic library resources, a wiki, a decent bloody search engine on the departmental website, integration of catalogues for physical and electronic stock. Perhaps something a bit like Google docs for collaborative work. Discussion fora? Automated reference harvesting (by which I mean, you visit webpage containing An Article or A Book, and it generates an entry for Endnote or similar.)

Oh yes, and cross-platform accessibility, and a decent manual for all the locally-customisable stuff above.
