I'll have a meme, please, Bob

Since I seem to be in an LJ meme mood (or rather too icky-feeling and brain-dead to do anything more intellectually stimulating) here's one of those question memes (pinched from
jackiesjottings):
A: What accessories do you wear everyday?
I wear my wedding ring and engagement ring, but I don't really think of them as accessories. I nearly always wear earrings, but lots of different ones.
B: What is your beauty routine?
Er... washing? I wash my hair every other day (less often and it gets too greasy, more often and it goes all straw-like). And I brush it, of course (well, I say "of course", but the fashion these days seems to be for hair that looks like it's been dragged through a hedge backwards). I don't really have a beauty routine, but then I don't really aspire to being beautiful.
C: What was the last item of clothing (for yourself) that you purchased?
I bought a pink stretchy top from the Age Concern shop for £1 this afternoon.
D: Do you use a dresser, closet, or both?
Assuming I understand this question... I have two wardrobes, three chests of drawers and a sort of bookcase with jumpers and stuff on. And several suitcases full of things that don't fit in the wardrobes and drawers. And a load of coats hung up in the under-stairs cupboard. And a load more coats that don't fit anywhere at all so they're in a pile on the table in the spare bedroom, well I call it a spare bedroom but it doesn't have room for a bed in it because of all the clothes. Sigh.
E: What type of earrings are in your ears right now?
Silver-coloured twisty ones with a green stone (in the lower piercings) and tiny black star-shaped studs (in the higher ones).
F: What type of figure do you have (measurements)?
Guh, I don't know. About a size 8-10 on the bottom and 10-12 on the top.
G: Do you wear glasses?
Yes, all the time, have done for most of my life. I was long-sighted as a child, had a couple of years of not needing to wear glasses, & now I'm short-sighted & getting more so. (But maybe I'll go long-sighted again when I'm older -- my mum did.)
H: What type of handbag do you carry?
I don't really do handbags, but I do now have a lovely Orla Kiely shoulder-bag (big enough to get several books in), in dark maroon felt-ish stuff with coloured squares on one side, that I got in Oxfam for £8.
I: What is your ideal style?
I have no idea what this even means.
J: What is your favorite brand of jeans?
Marks & Spencers, because they're the only place I can find jeans that are a) short enough for my tiny little badger legs, b) bootcut, and c) fitted so the waistband goes ON THE WAIST, WHERE IT'S MEANT TO GO, THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED A WAISTBAND. Ahem. I prefer cords to jeans actually, but I'd still get them from M&S.
K: Do you wear knee-hi stockings?
Aren't they just socks? I wear knee-high socks a lot, especially in winter.
L: Do you *have* to wear matching lingerie?
No, but it's mostly black so it mostly more or less matches. :-)
M: Do you wear makeup?
Nope. Have been known to dab on a tiny spot of concealer over a spot (I always seem to get a spot on my nose/chin just before a conference or presentation) if I can find the concealer-stick.
N: Do you wear nightgowns?
Yes, though they're mostly at the kind of "saggy t-shirt" end of the nightie spectrum rather than the "lacy negligée" end. Prefer pyjamas in the winter though.
O: What outerwear do you put on when going out on a typical winters day?
Coat, scarf, gloves, and hat. (I'm struggling to think what the options would be that might make this question even remotely interesting.)
P: What is your favorite perfume?
I don't wear perfume, but Lush's "Karma" is nice. I used to love YSL's "L'Air du Temps" but that's because my grandma wears it so it always made me think of her.
Q: Is your motto "quality over quantity" when it comes to clothing and accessories?
I prefer quality and quantity. :-)
R: Do you wear rain boots?
Not often -- I had a lovely pair of wellies with tulips on (they were my Wellies Of Joy at Glastonbury one year) but they no longer fit over my ridiculous calf muscles.
S: Do you wear socks or slippers when your feet get cold?
More often socks, but when I need cheering up as well as warming up I wear my TIGER FEET slippers.
T: Do you have a set of travel luggage?
No. I had a wheely-suitcase but the stand at the bottom came off & I haven't managed to fix it yet because I need to borrow a thing for cutting rivets off before I can screw it back on (it's complicated... but if anybody has a thing for cutting metal, I'd love to borrow it!).
U: What is your daily uniform?
Eh? Last time I wore uniform was in 1994. Our school winter uniform was grey skirt, white shirt with red pinstripe (looks pink at a distance), grey ITCHY ITCHY HORRIBLE socks, grey jumper, blue blazer (no I don't know how that fits with the rest either), grey gaberdine, black shoes, red and white striped scarf. Summer uniform was a white belted dress with dark blue-grey stripes, which I secretly quite liked, but if you were 'cool' you were supposed to take the elastic out & lose the belt so that it looked like a sack NO I DON'T KNOW EITHER.
V: If you are married, did you wear a veil with your wedding dress? If not, how did you do your hair?
I am indeed married, & for my wedding I wore my hair loose but with a sparkly tiara (well more like an alice-band with a couple of glittery bits on) and a couple of little flower-shaped clips. I didn't really have much of a plan apart from "don't spend any longer thinking about hair than necessary". Very similar to my "beauty routine", actually, now I come to think of it.
W: Do you wear a watch?
Not any more -- I have had two lovely wind-up watches but both eventually broke & were deemed unfixable, & by that time I realised I always had my phone or other time-keeping tech toys on me so there wasn't really any need for a watch.
X: What item of clothing always makes you feel beautiful?
What is all this with the being beautiful and feeling beautiful? I don't do beautiful. I have favourite items of clothing but they tend to change depending on my mood & the seasons. I like my maroon Karen Millen coat with the little shiny beads on because it feels grown-up and classy and it's just the right amount of warm-enough-but-not-heavy. I also like my New Rock boots because they're stompy and awesome and they make me 6 inches taller (though I haven't worn them for ages... I fear my goth clubbing days are over).
Y: What is your favorite type of yarn?
Since when does everybody have a favourite type of yarn?? I like the cotton stuff that you can knit dishcloths out of. When I am old I will knit hundreds of dishcloths, and crochet the orange bit round the outside so they look like proper dishcloths, except nobody will remember what proper dishcloths looked like by then because we'll have robots to do the washing-up.
Z: Do you prefer zippers or buttons?
Buttons -- they come in more different & interesting varieties, and they're far easier to replace/fix. (When zips break they're usually unfixable, and replacing them is beyond my sewing capabilities.)
