Okay, either there is no tactful way to say "I really don't mind if you two go home together", or else I'm so repulsive that [livejournal.com profile] meirion runs a mile at the mere sight of me. In my current state of mind, I'm tending towards the latter theory.

Incidentally, [livejournal.com profile] meirion, you can blame me for the (obviously unwelcome) phone call from [livejournal.com profile] sion_a after you'd stormed off, too -- I suggested that he might want to try to patch things up with you. He wouldn't have bothered otherwise.

(See, I'm seriously running out of energy. So from now on I'm not going to try to keep [livejournal.com profile] sion_a's relationships going as well as my own. Which means, for a start, no more reminders every single Tuesday to phone/email [livejournal.com profile] simonb.)

Well, feel free to ignore anything I say, but you can only be expected to keep your own relationships going. BT,DT, found out how wearing it can get.

Hugs, anyway.

IME, there can be, but it's one of the most difficult things I've ever tried to communicate -[ in a context where one also does care about one or both of the people involved deeply and does not want to give the false impression of caring about them less ].

My sympathies, for what they may be worth.
