To be fair, they are mostly selling to pillheads and speedfreaks, so that's probably not too far off the mark for their intended customer base :)

Could be that they don't have separate "male large" and "female large" -- 32" waist would be about a 16, and "large" 16/18.

Er, except 32" waist is about a 14, isn't it? And that's not "large" by any sensible definition.

Is that US or UK sizes though? Given that Gallery Serpentine is in Australia, I've no idea what they'd use. This chart puts 32" at UK16, US14.

Crikey, and this one (http://www.delicates.co.uk/size_jw.html) (UK based) reckons a 32" waist equals a size 18! According to their chart I'm a 14-16, and, well, I know that size 14-16 clothes do not fit me.

I think all we've proved is that the whole thing is nonsense...

I thought corset measurements were supposed to give their laced-shut size, i.e. the smallest size you can get them down to. Isn't that why they say to go for a size 2-4" smaller than your normal waist size?
