If it'd have to be instantaneous, probably that only people who care about the Public Good more than their own would become politicians.

But, halt!, that's my wish, and I don't know you well enough to tell if it'd match yours.

Right now, I'm wishing selfish wishes. But yours is quite a good wish, so I might just tell the genie he got the wrong guy.
