... any crap quizzes, lists of questions, etc. that I can fill in as a substitute for original thought, and also as a distraction from the fact that my stomach feels like it's been put through a mangle but I can't stop drinking the coffee (which is undoubtedly making things worse) or else I'll fall asleep at my desk ...?

I've always wondered whether Hamlet, while studying in Wittgenstein, received any lectures from Dr. Faustus.

Mmmmm. I think I will file that away in my mind somewhere.

The one that's just occurred to me in a moment of where-the-hell-did-that-come-from is: perhaps the real reason Ophelia goes completely fruitloop is that it's Polonius's child she's pregnant with, and she no longer has any hope of hiding her guilty secret in a hasty marriage to Hamlet?

(Yeah, I know the whole was-Ophelia-pregnant thing is very old and boring, but come on, this breathes new and twisted life into it. And it's supported by the text! Honest!)
