Tomorrow:

- I would ideally like to be in work at 8am, in order to get enough done before I leave at 12:30
- I have to be in Girton in plenty of time for 1:30pm
- I have to be at the train station for 3pm
- I need to pick my car up from AutoElectrical and Car Hi-Fi, on Aylestone Road
- AutoElectrical whatsits open at 8:30am
- It takes me about 25 minutes to walk into work, about 10-15 minutes to cycle
- The bike does not fit in the car
- There is no car parking at work

How does [livejournal.com profile] j4 do all the things she needs to do without cloning herself?

A special "fox, goose and grain" award to anybody who can solve the puzzle before tomorrow morning. Because I bloody can't.

Update: I should have pointed out that the reason I need to be at the station for 3 is so that I can get to Stansted in time for my flight, and I don't want to leave bikes/cars at the station for a week, because they will get nicked/trashed.

You sleep badly anyway: go to work at 6 a.m., work for 2 hours, get your car at the dot of 8:30 a.m. (they'll probably actually be slightly early themselves) and drive it home, Have a cup of coffee, cycle into work, go to Girtie's, lock the cycle in seven different ways, go on holiday.

When I took my car to them they were 15 minutes late (I was surprised, I expect car-type-people to start work really early). Also, if I get in at 6am that means negotiating the alarm system, which I'm a little worried about doing because I'm not entirely sure I know the keycode. :-/

Leaving the bike at the station is probably going to have to form part of the eventual plan, but I only have one D-lock, and apparently you can crack them with a cheap biro. Oh well, I can always buy another bike...

Checking it today is too late to be any help for getting in at 7 this morning, isn't it!

As it is I got in at 8, I will have to leave my car with AutoElectrical for a week, and god knows what I'm going to do about getting to the station, probably just say goodbye to my bike.

bus? ISTR the Girton bus stops by the War Memorial at the top of station Rd (or you could Taxi if you're worried 'bout the timing)

Yes but then a) I'd have to take my luggage for going on holiday (and a change of clothes) to the funeral, and either take funeral clothes with me or leave them with somebody else, and b) I'd either have to get *to* Girton by some other means from home, or leave my car in Girton for a week!

This is why the whole thing is driving me nuts, you see.

Happy Birthday, by the way. *hugs*

Ah. I haven't got the hang of this "time" thing yet. Sorry.
