hopelessly adrift in the eyes of the ghost again / down on my knees and my hands in the air again / pushing my face in the memory of you again / but i never know if it's real / never know how i wanted to feel / never quite said what i wanted to say to you / never quite managed the words to explain to you / never quite knew how to make them believable / and now the time has gone / another time undone / hopelessly fighting the devil futility / feeling the monster climb deeper inside of me / feeling him gnawing my heart away hungrily / i'll never lose this pain / never dream of you again

Goth meme (apparently) from [livejournal.com profile] emperor:
What epitaph would you put on my gravestone?
I can't be doing with all that screening-comment malarkey, but you can always post anonymously, if you really must.

I'm not promising to use any of your suggestions, mind.

Six appeal

BBC 6 Music is really awfully good, isn't it? I haven't listened to proper radio for ages -- only Radio 2, which is also good, but is more like curling up in front of the fire with port and slippers than going to challenging evening classes.

The best thing about 6 is, because it's a cool music station, I know all the music they play must be cool -- so I don't have to worry about my musical credibility! Today I have liked Supersystem, Ladytron (who I already liked a bit, I think), Martha Wainwright (ditto), Marc Mulcahy, N.E.R.D., and Sons and Daughters.

But, hey, they were playing Joy Division's "Transmission" just now, and just as it went "live transmission", the audio stream cut out. You couldn't make it up.
