Date: 2005-04-06 12:11 pm (UTC)(I've just been to a meeting with a colleague I've known for nearly 20 years and two young women, and I'm feeling like one of the old farts who used to totter around the campus when I was a youth, telling people they remembered Philip Larkin).

Date: 2005-04-06 12:39 pm (UTC)Hullo. Herr Powers and I would love to join you, definitely for Thursday and likely for both (though Saturday may be an afternoon visit only).
We'll be parking in Soho, so would be able to drop people we like the look of home anywhere between Soho and Hockliffe.

Date: 2005-04-06 03:11 pm (UTC)* Depending on the ease of relatives, really, since it's the birthday of one of them. But we'll see him the following weekend anyway, which is coincidentally when my birthday is. I will be 10001. Or 3x3x3+3+3. I'm not sure which sounds more ancient. But it's all a fib since in my head I am going to be 22 again. Which sounds much more fun. ;-)

Date: 2005-04-06 04:06 pm (UTC)As for birthdays, well mine's the week before yours and while I can't do 3x3x3 or perfect numbers, I can at least manage 2x22.

Date: 2005-04-06 10:50 pm (UTC)Thursday, ploptimism: probably not. Work night, and Aikido night, unless the dojo is a polling station.
very fab on both counts
Date: 2005-04-06 11:35 pm (UTC)Have delightful times planning those good days and evenings, though. Yay you both.

Date: 2005-04-27 07:08 pm (UTC)What does one wear to this event? I have only been goth or fetish clubbing recently, so my ideas of appropriate attire may be a tad skewed.

Date: 2005-04-29 09:11 am (UTC)Um, whatever one wants? AFAIK there's no dress-code, & indie is a broad church. (Full-on fetish would probably be a bit OTT, though, likewise full-on goth.) You saw the sort of things people wore to Panic ... probably something like that. (I've never been to this club before, so I dunno what it's like; I always sort of expect London indie to be a bit more glamorous than provincial indie, but that's not always the case ...)
Sorry, I never know what to advise people on things like this! :-/

Date: 2005-05-04 08:57 am (UTC)Hope the dinner party goes well though anyway! And garlic-flavoured gin-and-tonic sounds too good to be only done by accident. Mmmm.
