I've left the 'challengequiz' community -- I thought it would be fun, and I rather conceitedly thought that I had a moderate amount of general knowledge, but in fact (surprise, surprise) it's just yet another area where I'm thoroughly useless. I can rarely answer more than 2 questions on any of the quizzes, and it just depresses me. I guess I should have known better.
Slowly trying to whittle away all the things that just make me miserable. I guess eventually I'll whittle my life out of existence.

Re: I used to have a "Whittle" icon, you know
Date: 2003-11-30 08:53 am (UTC)I get a small but distinctly positive amount of joy when getting into that situation and then finding out that the answer plucked from nowhere turns out to be right. It may well be that quizzes which do not penalise you for wrong guesses (whether in terms of point deduction, in terms of score announcement or in terms of the reporting of wrong answers) may be relatively to your taste.
I'll not press the Buzzer Quiz issue, but the reason why I associated you in my mind with "might potentially be interested" was para two of this posting of yours (http://www.livejournal.com/users/j4/68470.html).
