Don't know where, don't know wem

Without googling, where do you think Preeshenlle is? And (for bonus points) how do you think it is pronounced?

I do know where it is because I've been through/near it on a boat (which should be non-specific enough not to give it away to those who might like to guess) but I haven't the foggiest how you pronounce it. Presumably not in any of the likeliest ways.

Hmmm. I've never heard of Preeshenelle but I did grow up not very far from Wem (as in the title of this entry), which is in itself not very far from Prees (pronounced Preece). The station announcements in Shrewsbury would tell us that the train at platform foo was calling at Yorton, Wem, Prees, Whitchurch, Wrenbury, Nantwich and Crewe.

Am I warm?

I think it's a typo for "prehensile"

Shropshire, innit, given that there's a Prees there and "Henlle" looks suitably Welsh (and would be pronounced "hen" followed by "ll" as in "Llandudno" and then a schwa).

My best guess would be some kind of shampoo or something. The word is the right shape to be a brand name of some really pretentious beauty product: just about pronounceable, exotic sounding without resembling any real language. I would probably say it as pree-shen-ul but wouldn't be surprised to hear some bimbo saying pri-shen-ley in a breathy, mock-exotic accent.

My guess would be somewhere in South Africa. But it's not a very good guess.

Hmm. I'm going to say the Netherlands. Prays-hen-leh.

And the first Google hit is "crossdressing and adult fun in Preeshenlle." How... fitting.

I'll take a guess at Wales, though Welsh phonotactic rules would probably prove me wrong if I knew any.

Scotland; pre-shen-elle

Wales?  It's the double-l that makes me wonder.

I can tell where it is from the other comments. Given where it is, the pronunciation is probably going to have been changed. I can think of two ways in which this is likely to have happened. I think it's probably pronounced preece-HEN-lee, but it might be pronounced preece-HEN-lair (with a silent "r").

(without looking at other comments) The "Prees" sounds Dutch, but the "ll" seems Welsh or Spanish. I think on balance I'd got for somewhere in Belgium, pronounced something like [prɛːshɛnlə]
